What Is Noone?

Noone is a modern African spiritual philosophy and way of life centered on stillness, self-awareness, compassion, disciplined living, and the pursuit of higher consciousness.

The name Noone symbolizes the realization of “no separate one”—the understanding that beneath our individual identities, all life is connected through one universal source. It also represents a return to the Source: the place of silence and infinite potential from which wisdom, creativity, growth, and transformation emerge.

Noone encourages each person to cultivate wisdom, live with integrity, discover purpose within, and express that purpose through meaningful action. Through contemplation, service, education, craftsmanship, community, and reverence for creation, the Noone philosophy seeks to inspire a life of balance, excellence, and contribution.

The Path of Noone

The Path of Noone is founded upon the recognition of Noone/Nun, understood within the tradition as the infinite primordial oceanic consciousness from which all existence arises. It is a path of remembrance—an invitation to return to our original nature through stillness, presence, self-awareness, compassion, and unity with the Source of all life.

Modern scientific evidence places the origin of Homo sapiens in Africa. The Noone tradition therefore looks toward Africa as both the birthplace of humanity and an ancient center of humanity’s earliest attempts to understand existence, nature, consciousness, life, and death.

According to the Noone tradition, an early expression of this wisdom developed among ancient peoples living within the Nile Valley. They understood that before the ordered world there was Noone, the limitless primordial reality from which creation emerged. Rather than viewing humanity as completely separate from creation, they understood life as an expression of one universal source.

The tradition teaches that this wisdom was preserved orally for generations and that elements of it were later reflected in the Heliopolitan creation tradition of ancient Egypt. In that tradition, creation begins within Nun/Noone, the primordial waters from which the creator and the ordered universe emerge.

The Egyptian Pyramid Texts, first inscribed during the Old Kingdom, preserve some of the earliest surviving written references to Noone and the primordial condition preceding creation. Within the Noone tradition, these writings are understood as surviving echoes of a much older African spiritual awareness.

A Path of Direct Experience

Noone is not centered on fear, division, or blind belief. It is a path of direct inner experience. Through meditation, silence, mindful living, compassion, self-examination, and disciplined action, the individual gradually quiets the distractions of the mind and becomes aware of the deeper consciousness beneath thought.

Noone teaches that every person carries the same sacred source within. Beyond race, nationality, language, culture, and religion, all life remains interconnected.

To know the Source is to know oneself.

To know oneself is to recognize oneself in all life.

To return to the Source is to live in harmony with creation.

The ultimate purpose of the Path of Noone is awakening: the realization of the stillness, unity, and infinite presence from which all existence arises.

Noone is not a distant destination. It is the Source within us—the consciousness we return to when the illusion of separation becomes still.

What Is a Nunist?

A Nunist is a follower of the NOONE philosophy—a path centered on wisdom, self-awareness, purposeful living, compassion, and a return to the Source.

The term Nunist is derived from Nun, the ancient concept of the primordial waters, symbolizing the Source from which all life emerges. A Nunist strives to cultivate inner stillness, pursue truth with humility, serve others with compassion, and live in harmony with creation.

Being a Nunist is not defined by ethnicity or nationality, but by a commitment to personal growth, integrity, and the pursuit of wisdom.

  • Harnun, born in eastern Uganda, is the Head Scribe and Creative Director of the Nubian Qibtic Tabernacle and the Founder of Noone Consciousness.

    He is a teacher and researcher of African history, African spirituality, and ancient African philosophy, dedicated to exploring the spiritual heritage of the African continent and its relevance to the modern world.

    His vision is to renew the timeless wisdom of the ancient Nubian way of life through Noone—a modern African spiritual philosophy centered on stillness, self-awareness, compassion, and the realization of humanity’s underlying unity.

    Harnun believes that Noone represents a new cycle of consciousness that invites all people, especially those of Nubian and African heritage, to rediscover their history, awaken to their true nature, and live with purpose, wisdom, and integrity.
